DEFINITION
RHB SPORT PU TOP COAT MAT is a two-component, aliphatic (non-yellowing) polyurethane based, solvent containing, flexible, soft surface forming, UV and weather resistant colored topcoat.
USAGE AREAS
RHB SPORT PU TOP COAT MAT is used as a topcoat on concrete, polyurethane and epoxy floors where abrasion resistance, UV resistance and matt-gloss appearance are required.
APPLICATION
Environmental Conditions Required for Implementation
It should not be rainy 24 hours before, during and 24 hours after the application in open areas - The ground temperature should be 3 °C above the current dew point temperature. Please request the table of Ambient Temperature-Ambient Humidity-Dewfall Temperature from our company.
-RHB SPORT TOP COAT MAT temperature must be between 15-25 °C.
Ground Conditions Required for Application
The floor temperature should be between 10-30 °C. The last coat of solvent-free surface coating systems should be applied within 3 days. If the topcoat is to be applied on the previously applied floor or if the recoating time has been exceeded, sanding should be done if necessary.
Surface Preparation
The floor surface must be dry, clean, solid and load-bearing. Oil, wax, grease, water repellents, unattached free parts that can be easily removed and dust that will weaken the adhesion forces on the surface should be removed by cleaning with a suitable method.
Mixing
RHB SPORT PU TOP COAT MAT is two-component and is used by mixing in A: B-12:3 (weight) ratios. In 2-component polyurethane systems, homogeneous mixing of A and B components in recommended mixing ratios is very important for maximum performance. Component A is mixed first and homogenized if there is a collapse. Pour component B into component A. Mix with a 200-300 rpm mixer for minimum 3-4 minutes. Scrape the walls and bottom of the packaging thoroughly with mixer blades and trowel. Mix again for 1 minute. Add a specified amount of specially dried quartz sand and mix for another 2-3 minutes.
Application
Immediately after making sure that A and B components are homogenously mixed, start the application with a roller. Minimum 2 coats should be applied.
MIX USAGE TIME
The application conditions of 2-component polyurethane systems are very dependent on the ambient temperature.
With Increasing Temperature
The reaction of component A and B is accelerated
It gains consistency quickly and should therefore spread more quickly over the surface.
With Decreasing Temperature
✓ Reaction of components A and B slows down
Pan life is longer
✓ Fluidity decreases.
In 2-component polyurethane systems, component A and component B react chemically and the temperature of the mixture increases by releasing heat. With the increase in the amount mixed, the temperature increase is higher and faster. Especially on hot days, it is important to spread the mixture immediately on the surface to obtain long working and processing time. If the mixture is fully packed, it can be transferred to smaller containers or containers with a larger surface area, or these effects can be minimized by mixing in smaller quantities (by weighing). For these reasons, the stock temperature of RHB SPORT PU TOP COAT MAT should be between 15-25 °C.
APPLICATION TOOLS
It is applied with a roller.
